Recently I listened to a song written by Kirk Franklin “We All Bleed the Same” My heart filled with a tremendous pain as I recalled injustice around the world. Hatred is rife and nobody cares!
Where have all the Christians gone? If there are so many in the world what are they all doing? This world should be flooded with the LOVE of GOD. The conclusion I’ve come to is that we are hearers of the WORD not doers. We run to church every Sunday and hear the WORD that compels us to take what GOD has given us and spread it around. But no! We want feel good and all fuzzy. As long as I’m alright every thing’s OK.
Harsh words. Yes, because there is a broken world out there waiting to have what we’ve got. JESUS did not discriminate against anyone, He never looked on the outside, only at the heart. Now if we have CHRIST in us why do we look at color, ethnic, religion, sexual persuasion etc?
News flash: GOD so loved the WORLD! (JOHN 3:16) No exclusions! The harvest for souls is anyone and everyone. We are missionaries’ right where we live. GOD created TIME and HE created People. So every time we meet someone it’s a divine appointment no matter who or what they are.
We need to leave them BETTER not BITTER.
As Christians we are commanded and compelled to love the LORD our GOD and our neighbors’ as ourselves no matter who they are. LUKE 10:25-28 “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” Jesus said to him, “What is written in the law? How do you read it? And he answered “You shall love the LORD your GOD with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.” And HE said to him. “You have answered correctly, do this, and you will live.” We need to be totally sold out for GOD HEART, SOUL and MIND and be strengthened by the HOLY SPIRIT if we are to love like JESUS did.
When we look at others we must not see the outward package, we must see that on the inside they are just like us, not different. Everyone has emotions, hurts, challenges like we have and that’s what we as Christians have to look for. How can we meet people at their need and show them the Love of GOD through the saving grace of JESUS CHRIST? There are enough people telling others how bad or useless they are but we know or GOD has a plan for everyone. Jeremiah 29:11-13 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Then you will call on ME and come and pray to ME, and I will listen to you. You will seek ME and find ME when you seek ME with all your heart. We as Christians are to enable all those we come across, to fulfill Jeremiah 29:11-13. If each Christian as a disciple of GOD would just go into all the word and preach the GOOD NEWS to everyone (MARK 16:15) then we will see HATRED, INTOLERANCE and DISCRIMINATION conquered through the LOVE of GOD and the saving GRACE of JESUS CHRIST.
Remember: WE ALL BLEED THE SAME.
